The Grey Lady Weavers are dedicated to honoring the art of Nantucket Lightship basketry through our beautiful creations. Together we share 20+ years of weaving experience to create custom baskets updated for today’s lifestyle.

Originating in the 19th century on Nantucket Island lightships, our basketry honors America's lightship and whaling industry while offering modern, updated pieces for today's lifestyle.

Handmade in the Classic Tradition

Our baskets are made in the classic tradition using primarily cherry wood staves and bamboo weavers. Rosewood, maple and other woods are also available.
